What Can I Do For My Valley?
You can be of vital assistance to your Valley during Reunions by volunteering to serve in one or more areas: Hospitality and registration: Greet members at the main entrance to the Temple as they arrive to participate in Reunions. Check dues cards, and see that each member is warmly welcomed. Stage Crew: The Stage Crew’s responsibility is to ensure that the stage is properly set for the exemplification of each degree. This includes arranging all props and paraphernalia involved in degrees, and operating the stage drops and curtains. These brethren also operate the sound and lighting equipment. Wardrobe: Brethren working in wardrobe assist the director in properly costuming all degree participants, and maintaining and storing the many costumes used in the degrees. COSMETICIANS: The cosmeticians apply stage makeup to the actors. DEGREE WORKERS: Participate in the rehearsal and exemplification of the degrees. Each degree has a number of both speaking and non-speaking parts. Each are vital to the presentation of the degrees to candidates. CHOIR: The Scottish Rite Choir adds an indispensable quality of beauty to the degrees. Choir members rehearse regularly and enjoy that special camaraderie and satisfaction that exists among brethren who love to sing. |
